■ Executive Summary｜概要

On March 30, 2026, I visited Lumbini Art Museum in Hanamaki City, Iwate Prefecture. This journey was inspired by the mission of HERALBONY—to “Radiate Your Color” by positioning neurodiversity as a new culture. My path was a series of connected experiences: it began at “APPI JAZZY SPORT 2026,” a next-generation winter festival blending Appi Kogen’s world-class “Aspirin Snow” with the creative influence of JAZZY SPORT, which featured a landmark collaboration with HERALBONY this year. This was followed by a visit to the “1st Anniversary of HERALBONY ISAI PARK” in Morioka, and ultimately led me to the creative heart of their partner, Lumbini Art Museum.

2026年3月30日、岩手県花巻市にある「るんびにい美術館」を訪問した。今回の訪問のきっかけは、障害のある方の異彩を新しい文化として社会に放つ「異彩を、放て。」をミッションに掲げる株式会社ヘラルボニーの思想に共鳴したことだった。世界水準の雪質を誇る安比高原と、独自のカルチャーを世界に発信するJAZZY SPORTがコラボレーションした冬の祭典「APPI JAZZY SPORT 2026」において、今年はヘラルボニーの「異彩」がフェス全体の空間演出に深く組み込まれていた。この祝祭的な体験を経て、盛岡の拠点「HERALBONY ISAI PARK」の1周年記念イベントを訪問。プロダクトやギャラリーを通じて放たれるエネルギーを体感したのち、その表現の源流の一つである「るんびにい美術館」のアトリエを訪ねた。

Appi Jazzy Sport 2026

The venue featured an open and airy layout with a well-balanced arrangement of diverse booths—art, coffee, fashion—and a comfortable dining area, allowing visitors to relax naturally. The live lineup and setlist were thoughtfully curated, maintaining a refined and pleasant atmosphere throughout without feeling either dull or overwhelming.

開放的な空間にアートやコーヒー、ファッションなどの多様なブースと食事スペースがバランスよく配置され、来場者が自然とリラックスできる設計となっていた。ライブのラインナップやセットリストも過不足なく構成され、終始心地よく洗練された雰囲気が保たれていた。

■ HERALBONY ISAI PARK 1st Anniversary｜ISAI PARK 1周年記念イベント

On March 29, I attended the “HERALBONY ISAI PARK 1st Anniversary FINALE” in Morioka. The venue was filled with a warm, creative energy, highlighted by a LIVE PAINT performance by Seitaro Takeuchi (Tam Tam Sha Nakayama Kobo), whose work naturally blended into the peaceful atmosphere of the day. A major highlight was the historic Talk Session featuring Sunny A. Smith (Executive Director of Creative Growth, Oakland) alongside HERALBONY’s Takaya Matsuda and Hiromi Kurosawa. They introduced their respective initiatives and philosophies.

The afternoon featured “ISAI HARMONY PARK,” a classical concert where diverse values intersected. Baritone Masataka Otashiro and pianist Tomomi Kawamura filled the air with elegant and breathtaking tones. The day concluded with “OPEN GROOVE,” where DJs CHOKU (JAZZY SPORT), NEGAMI RELAX, and ABE THE MISSION intersected art and music, sharing the celebration with HERALBONY’s Co-CEOs.

3月29日、盛岡の「HERALBONY ISAI PARK」1周年記念フィナーレを訪問した。会場は、多夢多夢舎中山工房の竹内聖太郎氏によるライブペイントが放つ、和やかで温かなクリエイティブの熱量に包まれていた。その筆致は空間に優しく溶け込み、集まった人々を穏やかに繋いでいた。トークセッションでは、米国オークランドの「Creative Growth」より来日したSunny A. Smith氏、ヘラルボニーの松田崇弥氏、黒澤浩美氏が登壇。それぞれの組織での取り組みや考え方が紹介され、深い対話が交わされた。

午後のひとときには、異彩と伝統がやわらかく調和する音楽会「ISAI HARMONY PARK」が開催。バリトン歌手・太田代将孝氏とピアニスト・川村友美氏を迎え、優雅で圧巻の音色が会場を包み込んだ。夜の部「OPEN GROOVE」では、CHOKU (JAZZY SPORT)、NEGAMI RELAX、ABE THE MISSIONらDJ陣がアートと音楽を交差させ、ヘラルボニー両代表と共に祝祭の完結を分かち合った。この体験すべてが、翌日のアトリエ訪問への関心をさらに深める導線となった。

■Lumbini Art Musium Atelier Visit & Artistic Sessions｜るんびにい美術館アトリエ見学と創作の現場

Upon arriving at Lumbini Art Museum, I was immediately charmed by the colorful art adorning the building’s exterior. Inside, the entrance greeted me with delicate handmade ceramics and a gallery of artworks, each accompanied by thoughtful photos and descriptions of the artists. Passing through the cozy cafe—itself a gallery of inspiring pieces—I climbed the stairs to the second floor: Atelier “Mayura.” The day began warmly with morning greetings and radio calisthenics before everyone moved into their respective creative work. While chatting with the artists and staff, I was invited to witness a creative “session” where sounds and words layered on top of each other. It was so cool that I ended up using a DJ app, to play around with them and see how we could multilayer the sounds together.

るんびにい美術館に到着してまず目を引いたのは、外観に施された可愛らしいアート。一歩足を踏み入れると、手作りの柔らかな焼き物や、作家さんの写真と丁寧な解説が添えられた素敵な作品たちが迎えてくれた。作品に囲まれた心地よいカフェを通り抜け、階段を上がった2階にあるのがアトリエ「まゆ〜ら」だ。利用者の方々との挨拶、そしてラジオ体操を経て、それぞれが自身の作業へと移っていく穏やかな時間が流れていた。支援員や利用者の方々と楽しくお話しする中で、言葉と音を重ねる即興的な「セッション」を見せていただく機会があった。その自由な表現があまりに面白かったので、僕もスマホのDJアプリを引っ張り出して、音を多層的に重ねて一緒にちょっと遊ばせてもらった。

Sensory Interaction｜振動を通じた感覚の共有

I also had a brief moment of sharing the physical vibration of sound with one of the artists. This sensory input sparked a new expression; the artist began translating the image of “water sounds” into a drawing on paper. It was a profound moment of witnessing how a shared Presence can ignite a creative process from within.

会話の中で、一人の利用者の方に音の振動を身体で感じる体験を共有した。その刺激をきっかけに、彼女が「水の音」のイメージを言葉にし、紙に描き出していくプロセスを間近で感じることができた。感覚の共有から新たな表現が立ち上がる、W.A.P.P HEIGHTSらしい「Presence」の共有となった。

■ Reflection & Future Outlook｜考察と今後

This visit strongly resonated with my previous experience visiting Atelier Yamanami in Shiga. Both Lumbini and Yamanami prioritize the environment over the final product, ensuring each person can live authentically. Reaffirming my belief that the most powerful “art” is the environment that allows a person to just be, I intend to integrate this “Validation of Presence” into the future spatial designs of W.A.P.P HEIGHTS.

今回の訪問で感じた表現の美しさは、以前訪れた滋賀県の「やまなみ工房」での経験と強く通じるものがあった。両者に共通するのは、技術や成果を求めるのではなく、環境そのものが「人の幸せ」のために設計されている点だ。この「存在（Presence）の肯定」という哲学を、今後のW.A.P.P HEIGHTSの活動にも深く反映させていきたい。
